The eastern end of the railroad is the Hoyt Street Yard in northwest Portland.
Facilities are shared by the OCRR, SP&S, and NP. Background buildings and signs represent actual Oregon industries such as Pendleton Woolen Mills, Janzen Sportswear, and Willamette Iron and Steel, to create a sense of Portland.
Several interchange tracks near the engine facility represent the OCRR connections to all points east, south, and north of the area modeled on the layout.
