Text Box: OREGON COAST RAILROAD

Welcome to the Oregon Coast Railroad

The HO scale Oregon Coast Railroad, set in 1957, follows the Columbia River from Portland to Astoria and then south along the Pacific Ocean to Tillamook. Modeled activities include an ocean port with a tramp steamer and car float, a large yard and engine facility, a large meat packing plant, a lumber mill and a large paper mill.

Layout construction began in May 2005 and completed in March 2018 although changes will be made 0ver time.

The OCRR is fictional but based on the Spokane Portland and Seattle Railroad “A Line” from Portland to Astoria along the Columbia River.

Oregon Coast Railroad Goals:

· Detailed models and scenery typical of the Pacific Northwest.

· A “hands off” continuous loop for non-railroad guests.

· Track and industry arrangement suitable for realistic operations.

· Alcoves of low stress activity so less experienced operators can be comfortable during operating sessions.
